Stephen Kallas

Stephen Kallas, host of the Texas-centric "According to Kallas" podcast, is a seasoned project manager and liberty advocate who has served in key roles within the Collin County Republican Party, including contributions to the state convention platform in support of Texas Independence.

Stephen Kallas, host of the “According to Kallas” podcast, has been married to his high school sweetheart for 30 years and is the father of two adult daughters. He currently works in project management for a large remodeling company.

In a concurrent role, Stephen serves on the leadership team of the Collin County Patriots and as precinct chair for the Collin County Republican Party. In 2022, he had the pleasure of working as the Senate District 8 member of the Republican state convention platform committee, where language was added in support of Texas Independence.

A dedicated liberty advocate and political activist, Stephen has been active in his church and involved in local issues since 2012. He has also twice been appointed to advisory boards for Collin County.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Stephen lived in Virginia during his service in the United States Navy. He and his family moved to Texas in 1997. He completed a BA in Political Science and History at the University of North Texas in 2004 and has advocated for Texas seeking independence from DC, either de facto or de jure, since 2016.

“The According to Kallas” podcast is Texas-centric and features many “Texit Tuesday” episodes. Stephen invests his time in focusing on state-level politics in Texas and other local government issues, aiming to engage and inform the local population on relevant topics. The goal is to create better advocates and improve the defense of liberty. Stephen often utilizes his education to provide historical context, illustrating that “we have been there and done that” before.
